Video Editor Short-Form Content

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor specializing in short-form content optimized for platforms like TikTok and Shopee Video. You will transform raw footage into highly engaging, fast-paced, trend-aligned videos that drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversions.
This role requires not only a strong understanding of visual storytelling, editing software, and platform-specific trends and formats, but also a content marketing mindset — knowing how to craft videos that align with campaign objectives, audience behavior, and brand voice.
Responsibilities
- Edit short-form video content (15s–60s) for TikTok, Shopee Video, and other social platforms.
- Apply visual effects, captions, transitions, and music to make videos entertaining, polished, and platform-optimized
- Stay up-to-date with TikTok/Shopee trends and integrate viral elements into content
- Work closely with the content, marketing, and production teams to execute creative briefs
- Collaborate with the content marketing team to ensure videos align with campaign objectives, brand messaging, and target audience insights.
- Continuously optimize video content based on performance metrics (e.g., watch time, engagement rate, CTR)
Must Have
- Experienced with CapCut (templates, sound sync, mobile-friendly edits)
- Familiar with After Effects for basic animations (intros/outros, kinetic text, logo effects)
- Strong understanding of audio editing, visual pacing, and export optimization
- Knowledge of TikTok/Shopee platform specs, formats, and engagement dynamics
- Good command of color theory and its emotional impact in short-form storytelling
- A content marketing mindset — able to understand campaign goals, brand voice, and audience psychology when crafting videos
- Ability to interpret creative briefs with marketing context and contribute ideas that support engagement and conversion
Nice to have
- Have 1–2 years of experience in video editing, ideally with short-form or social content
- Experience working with eCommerce, D2C, influencer marketing, or lifestyle brands
- Familiarity with social commerce tools, Shopee Ads, or TikTok Shop is a plus
- Portfolio showcasing edited short-form videos with high engagement
