Overview

This document defines what LMC’s Affiliate Program Management service contains, how we deliver it, what the client receives, what it costs, and where its boundary sits. It is the source of truth for sales conversations, contract drafting, and delivery scope.

Affiliate Program Management is part of LMC’s Brand & Creator Marketing family. It is the standalone option for clients who want a commission-based creator program run without a full managed-store retainer.

What it is

Affiliate Program Management is a commission-based, open-network creator service. We build and run your TikTok Shop and Shopee affiliate program - commission design, creator recruitment, performance management - so a network of creators sells your products on commission, and you pay for results.

Affiliate Program Management is right for you if:

  • You sell on TikTok Shop or Shopee and want a creator network selling for you on commission.
  • You want a pay-for-results model where creator payout is tied to attributed sales, not upfront fees.
  • You run your own store and want the affiliate channel handled without a managed-store retainer.
  • You are a pre-launch brand and want the affiliate program designed and recruited before or alongside launch.

What it is not

Affiliate Program Management is the wrong service if:

The distinction that matters most: affiliate is commission-based and open-network - creators self-enroll and earn per sale. Influencer & Creator Marketing is brand-directed and fee-based - you choose the creators, you pay a booking fee. They are different services, priced differently.

Process

We run the program in five stages. Stage 1 is bounded setup; Stages 2 to 4 run continuously through the engagement; Stage 5 repeats monthly.

  1. Program setup (Week 1-2). We design the commission structure - base rate, tiered or campaign boosts - configure the affiliate plan in Seller Center, set the sample and seeding policy, and write the creator content guidelines. The client confirms the structure before launch.
  2. Creator recruitment (ongoing). We source target-fit creators through the platform affiliate marketplaces and direct outreach, then recruit and onboard them into the program. Every creator is screened for category fit, audience quality, and content style.
  3. Activation and sample coordination (ongoing). We issue product briefs to enrolled creators, coordinate sample dispatch, and run targeted collaboration invites for priority SKUs. Sample cost is passed through to the client at cost - LMC does not own inventory.
  4. Performance management (ongoing). We track affiliate-attributed GMV, rank top creators, run commission boosts and incentives for performers, and prune inactive or off-brand affiliates. Where the client also runs ads, we authorize top affiliate content for Spark Ads.
  5. Monthly report. A monthly report covering affiliate-attributed GMV, active affiliate count, top creators, commission paid out, content volume, and commentary on what to scale next.

Note on commission: Affiliate commission is paid by the platform to creators out of the commission rate the brand sets. It is deducted per sale, not an upfront ad budget. This is not ad spend, and it is not a fund LMC holds.

Packaging mode: Retainer + percentage of affiliate-attributed GMV.

Sample cost: product samples for seeding are passed through to the client at cost. LMC does not own, hold, or fund inventory.

Affiliate commission is set by the brand and paid by the platform to creators per sale. It is not an LMC fee and not a fund LMC holds.

If you are already a managed-store client, affiliate work is part of your retainer - there is no need to engage this service separately.

Out of scope

  • Paid KOL / KOC booking. Booking specific creators for a fixed fee plus budget is the Influencer & Creator Marketing service. Affiliate is a commission-based, open-network model; the two are different services and priced differently.
  • Content production. Affiliate creators produce their own content. LMC briefs and sets guidelines; LMC does not film or edit video. Graphic design and brand assets, if needed, are available via the Design Service.
  • On-platform ads. Shopee Ads and TikTok Shop Ads management is Paid Ads Management or Managed Marketplace Operations. Spark Ads authorization of strong affiliate content is coordinated here, but ad-account operation is not.
  • Inventory ownership. LMC coordinates sample dispatch; samples are passed through at cost. LMC never purchases, holds, or takes title to inventory.
  • Store operations. Listings, store inbox, order management - that is Managed Marketplace Operations.
  • Guaranteed GMV or creator-count outcomes. LMC commits to running the program and delivering the Proof artifacts. Affiliate performance depends on commission competitiveness, product-market fit, price, and creator behavior - factors partly outside LMC’s control. Reports track results transparently; LMC does not guarantee an affiliate GMV number.

How to engage

  2. Receive scope of work and contract. Engagement begins on signature and deposit. Minimum term is 3 months.
  3. Program setup (Week 1-2). Commission structure, affiliate plan configuration, seeding policy, content guidelines - confirmed with you before launch.
  4. Recruitment, activation, and performance management run continuously through the engagement.
  5. Monthly Affiliate report delivered each cycle.
